To decarbonize mobility, Repsol is committed to an energy model that combines electrification, renewable fuels, and hydrogen. Motorsport is an excellent test bench for these more sustainable fuels, learning lessons in the most demanding conditions, in order to make them available to our customers in the near future. The company has already supplied renewable fuel to major competitions such as the Dakar Rally, where Isidre Esteve managed to complete the entire rally with 75% renewable fuel, and the French Formula 4, the first single-seater competition to use 100% renewable fuel. In motorsports, Repsol is developing renewable fuels for the Repsol Honda MotoGP team to meet the mandate to use 40% renewable fuel from 2024 and 100% by 2027. Since July 2022, Repsol has supplied 100% renewable diesel to professional customers in the goods transport sector, as well as companies in the collective transport of people and professional machinery. At Repsol, we continue to take decisive steps to lead the commitment to renewable fuels in the Iberian Peninsula". Repsol's Customer General Manager, Valero MarĂn, said: "This launch exemplifies, once again, our commitment to the decarbonization of transport that we want to involve our customers in. Repsol, as part of its multi-energy strategy, thus offers its customers a new 100% renewable product, in addition to its wide range of electric mobility, shared mobility (Wible), AutoGas, CNG/LNG, and Neotech fuels. It will have 50 service stations selling 100% renewable fuel by the end of this year. The multi-energy company has an ambitious expansion plan to cover the main transport corridors of the Iberian Peninsula. All three already supply renewable diesel produced from organic waste to professional customers, who have agreements with Repsol, and it will soon be made available to all customers. ![]() ![]() ![]() The first Repsol service stations to offer these zero net emissions fuels are located in Mercamadrid (Madrid), Esparraguera (Barcelona), and Alcochete (Lisbon region). The main advantage of their use is that they can be used in existing vehicles without the need for modifications to engines or already existing distribution and refueling infrastructures. The multi-energy company maintains a strong commitment to renewable fuels, which are one of the main levers of Repsol's strategy to accelerate the decarbonization of transport and achieve its goal of becoming a zero net emissions company by 2050. With this initiative, Repsol becomes the first Spanish company to dispense 100% renewable fuel in the Iberian Peninsula. Repsol has launched the supply of 100% renewable diesel at three service stations in Madrid, Barcelona, and Lisbon (Portugal).
